No assembly needed! My dad falls frequently & I am unable to get him up but will not put him in nursing home. This is worth 10 times what I paid. I just get him to turn on his side & place the lift next to him. Then I help lift his upper body as he rolls back onto the lift. I very carefully ensure he is fully situated and get behind him to hold his shoulders as I press the button for the lift to go up. It gets him to the perfect height that he can use his walker to stand. I then simply lower the lift, fold it up, and store under the bed. It is simply amazing!

When my wife falls to the floor, I can no longer get her up. She is down until someone else can come help me get her up. She slipped to the floor the day after we received the chair lift, and we quickly got her up where we could stand her up.
My wife is prone to falls. I am not a strong as I used to be. She is not that heavy at 165. I would put a belt around her waist and doggy walk her to a chair or bed side but it's still very hard for me to lift her. I purchased this and it was still in the box when she had another fall. I quickly opened the box and there was no assembly at all. put it next to her while she was on the floor and she rolled her butt on the chair. Just pushed the button on the controller to lift and she came up smoothly with no problems! Very satisfied!
So thankful for this product! I take care of 2 people in my home that are on hospice. Now I know I can safely help them up off the floor without injury to them or my back! And today my mom was able to safely use the whirlpool tub! She was nervous at first but she is sold on it now!
